If you are looking for a pleasant outdoor activity, this preserve offers a true glimpse into the area’s natural landscape. A raised 1.2-mile boardwalk winds through wetlands, making it easy to explore while spotting birds, turtles, otters, and even alligators in their natural habitat.
In addition, guided walking tours are available and provide helpful insight into the ecosystem and the wildlife that call it home. From December through April, tours are offered daily at 9:30 AM. However, during the hotter months (May through November), tours take place on Wednesdays at 9:30 AM.
You can also stop by the Interpretive Center, which is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM. Here, you will find educational displays, interactive exhibits, and knowledgeable staff who can answer questions and share more about the preserve’s ecological importance.

During our visit, we took the Global Farm Tour by golf cart since it was a small group. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and made the experience both engaging and informative. We even had the chance to smell and taste leaves from several plants, which made it especially memorable.
The Visitor Center includes a small shop with books and resources, as well as a nursery where you can purchase plants.

Kids can explore touch tanks, experiment with exhibits, and watch live demonstrations, which helps keep them engaged throughout the visit.
I have not personally visited the Center yet. However, based on visitor feedback, experiences can vary. Some guests mention that certain exhibits may not always be fully operational, while others report having a fun and positive visit – especially with younger children.
Overall, it can be a good option if you are looking for an indoor activity, particularly on hot or rainy days.

You can play all day, which makes it easy to take your time and enjoy both courses. The blue course is more beginner-friendly, while the red course offers a bit more challenge. One of the courses is also ADA and stroller accessible – inquire with the attendant when checking in.
A nice touch is the ability to order food and drinks while you play – they can be delivered directly to you on the course. You can also download the PopStroke app to keep score and place orders. That said, traditional scorecards are still available if you prefer the old-fashioned way.

The Museum and Train Village is open Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 2 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM. Extended evening hours are offered during the holiday season. Tickets for both the train and museum can be purchased at the ticket window.

With animals on-site and a relaxed outdoor atmosphere, this is more than just a meal – it is an experience. You can see cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, ducks, and donkeys up close. Kids and adults alike enjoy interacting with the animals, and you can even purchase animal feed at the check-in desk for $5. The farm is named after Blossom, the donkey, and Brie, the Jersey cow.
Some of the produce used in the restaurant is grown on-site in their hydroponic facility, adding to the farm-to-table feel.
